  1. When I am not experiencing stress at work, that probably means some other poor schlep is getting the proverbial kick in the junk.
  2. I am going on minute 46 of the 10 minute break we took on our meeting, which I would like to continue and get over with.

  1. We just received the new mix of our song, Pullin’ Pins.  That means, we will have a single to put out on the web shortly, are almost ready to print our new press kits, and I can hear my own voice over and over again while touching myself.

Work Sucks - A M-F Daily Diary

Today, work sucks because:

  1. Closed door senior management meetings usually lead to chaos.
  2. I broke my ping pong paddle last week, which is our primary stress reliever here at the office, and it has further diminished my already poor skills.  To add insult to injury, we gamble for push ups, of which I have lost an unacceptable amount.  These push ups are usually redeemed during our all-hands meeting.  Lame.

Today music is the most powerful force in the world because…

Music brings people together.  To demonstrate how powerful it is, last year my friend Danny and I went to the Police concert here in Los Angeles.  Standing next to him was a beautiful girl, Sonya, with whom he started talking about the show.  Earlier this month, they were engaged to be married.

 Congrats, Danny and Sonya!!  Which Police song will you be playing at your wedding?

  1. I am writing mapping tables and pricing formulas while dealing with the repurcussions of 1 beer, 1 Absolut w/Cranberry, 1.5 chilled shots of Ketel One Citron, 1 double Captain and Coke, 4 glasses of red wine, and a shot of Patron.

Work Sucks - A M-F Daily Diary

Today, work sucks for me, but could prove to be a useful investment opportunity for all of you.  I suggest a big buy on stock for makers of the following products:

  1. Stress Balls - Industrial strength is ideal.  Any company that can make custom balls with faces of co-workers will see the sharpest increase in profits.
  2. Tylenol - Extra Strength, vegan gel-caps.
  3. Captain Morgan’s and Coca Cola - For those of you with limited capital, purchase the Captain Morgan’s stock.
  4. Amsterdam or Humboldt County - If you can invest in agriculture for these two regions, probably a good idea.
  5. Betty Ford Clinic - Hold on this investment for 3-4 months and then Go Big.

Today music rocks because…

  1. Banging on drums has the same affect as using a stress ball.
  2. Headaches disappear in the presence of extremely loud music.
  3. It can be done while drinking.
  4. It can be done while high.
  5. Not sure, but I think it can be done at Betty Ford.

That said…invest heavy and look for a real good, drug induced album to be released as soon as I am.

Work sucks in an usual way today…

  1. Today, the issue is that work hasn’t really sucked, which gives one a glimmer of hope that work might permanently stop sucking, only to inevitably come crashing down, suck again, and further accelerate me on my path to alcoholism.

Today music is the dope shit because…

  1. We recovered our recording of last week’s show at The Mint, which means we can finish our video and post more shit to YouTube!
  2. We are almost done editing the drums, bass and piano for our album.  This means we can start with guitar next week, then move on to our other 476 instruments and vocals.

Work Sucks - A M-F Daily Diary

As usual, work sucks today.  Why?

  1. Documenting things is eerily similar to last year when I broke my big toe and they had to cauterize a hole in my toenail and squeeze the blood out, which did not work, so they had to do it again 4 days later, which then got infected, so they shot me twice in the toe with novacaine and removed my toenail.  Yeah, documenting is like that.
